ABOUT
At every event, I’d end up in great photos I never got back. Or I’d be the one holding the phone for the group shot instead of standing in it. Get2Share fixes both. Guests join by QR code, and every photo goes to one live gallery. Share Spots turn spare tablets and phones into cameras anyone can fire with a countdown. Borrow lets a guest use a friend’s camera to get themselves into the shot.
THE CHALLENGE
Make it work for a whole room of people who’ll never download an app. That meant joining in seconds from a QR code, photos showing up for everyone instantly, and hosts keeping control over what gets shown and saved, all from a browser.

THE RESULTS
Hosts get Share Spots, a TV portal that plays the gallery live for the room, photo review or auto-approve, and control over when guests can save the album. Guests can always save their own photos. I load-tested it against the real backend with simulated guests who join, post and react like real phones. At both 25 and 50 guests, a new photo reached everyone else’s screen in 0.2 seconds, and doubling the crowd didn’t slow it down. Built with React, TypeScript, Vite, Tailwind and Firebase, deployed on Vercel.

THE IMPACT
Testing changed the product. Think-aloud usability sessions led to a bigger close button, swipe-back that closes a photo instead of leaving the event, separate Camera and Upload buttons, and one "Love" reaction instead of thumbs up/down. The load test flagged where costs grow and a sign-in limit on shared venue Wi-Fi, both now known and planned for. Next: premium video effects and video capture.
